CCFj Now: Upcoming Event: Evangelism Weekend

CCj is teaming up with “Iglesia Bautista Calle Blancos” to spread the gospel in Jaco. 
Events include: A Family Festival and Evening Street Evangelism
Dates: Saturday May 23, 2009 & Sunday May 24, 2009

This weekend we will be teaming up with “Iglesia Bautista Calle Blancos” from San Jose, Costa Rica. Pastor Carlos is a close friend of ours who has been training a group of 25 people in His church on how to evangelize. They will be coming to Jaco very early Saturday morning via bus. Once they arrive the activities will begin. Some of the activities include mimes, drama presentations, music, games & gospel presentations. If you are available, we would love for you to join us. Even if you have never evangelized, that's ok, we will be going out in teams. We will be sharing the gospel with both Spanish and English speakers. If you are only available part of the time and would like to know where to find us throughout the weekend, check out the itinerary below. Wether you can join us or not, please be praying for the events. Here are some specifics to pray for:

• Salvation of the lost (kids, adults, addicts, everyone!)
• Chains of addiction to be broken (drugs, alcohol, prostitution)
• New believers to get properly discipled & plugged into church
• For broken families to be mended
• Unity among all team members from both church bodies
• That Jesus will be exalted and glorified above all else

Saturday, May 23, 2009

• 9:30 am: Kid's Club & Family Festival
• Location: The park in INVU. (call 8-846-8248 for directions)
• Activities: Mimes, Drama, Music, Games & Gospel presentation
• 6:00 pm: Potluck Dinner with the team
• Location: CCj (in the cafe) ...Note: If you are able, please bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if you can't bring a dish.
• 7:30 pm: Prayer Time ...Note: We will have a brief time of praise & worship, then we will pray fervently for Jaco.
• 8:30 pm: Street Evangelism ...Note: We will be walking the streets in small groups. We will be praying & sharing the gospel.
• We will be sharing with both Spanish & English speakers

Sunday, May 24, 2009:

• 9:30 am: Fellowship and Prayer before Worship service starts.
• 10:15 am: CCj Worship Service
• Guest speaker: Pastor Carlos Cunningham ...Note: Dramas will be presented by the visiting team
• We look forward to seeing what God is going to do in Jaco this weekend.
